Clink beta privacy notice
Last updated 16 October 2026
Clink is a speed-dating app that is in a private test. This notice covers the test version only. It is not the final privacy policy. Clink is run by Lutsky Digital. Questions, requests and deletion help: [email protected].
Who can use Clink
You must be 18 or over. You enter a birthdate and the app blocks anyone under 18. We do not check it against ID.
What Clink collects
You give us:
- Your email address. It is how you sign in, with a one-time code sent to that address.
- Your first name, birthdate, gender, who you want to meet, and the age range you want to meet.
- A contact method and handle (phone, email, Instagram, Snapchat or other). It is shared only as described below.
- A photo. Some events require one.
- Your answers to a few either-or questions.
Created as you use the app:
- Which events you join, and when.
- Each date you are assigned: who it was with, the table, and the times.
- After each date: your yes or no, and any private notes you write.
- People you block, and reports you make, including the reason you write.
- A push notification token, if you allow notifications.
Technical data: our service providers (listed below) keep ordinary logs, such as IP addresses, to run their services. The app has no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting tools. This website sets no cookies.
Who can see what
- Other guests at an event you join can see your first name and photo, for example on the guest list or when you are paired. The person you are paired with also sees your age and your table number. They never see your birthdate, contact details, answers or notes.
- The big screen, if the host uses one at the venue, shows the first names of the two people at each table.
- Your yes or no is never shown to the other person. Your notes are private to you: not shown to other guests, not shown to the host, not in any export.
- Contact details go to another guest only if you both said yes and the host then releases the results with contact details on.
- The host of an event you join sees your name and photo, your progress in the event, and can remove you. When the host reviews results they see the mutual matches, and for each guest how many people they said yes to and how many said yes to them. At a small event that can reveal that someone was not interested. The host can export a file containing the contact details of both people in every mutual match, even if results were released with names only.
- Reports go to the host of that event. A person you block is not told, and you will not be paired with them again.
- The person running this test has administrator access to the database, to run the test and fix problems. I will not read private notes or contact details except to fix a fault or respond to a safety report.
Who handles the data for Clink
- Supabase: database, photo storage and sign-in. Hosted in the US (East).
- Resend: sends your sign-in code email.
- Expo: delivers app updates and push notifications. Notifications travel on through Apple or Google.
- Apple (TestFlight) distributes the iPhone app.
- Cloudflare: hosts this website and the Android download.
Clink does not sell data and shows no ads.
How long it is kept
Until you delete your account. When the test ends, the data stays: it is not deleted automatically.
Deleting your account
In the app: Profile, then Delete account. This is what it does:
- Your name is replaced with "Deleted user". Your photo, contact details, quiz answers and push token are removed. Your private notes are removed.
- You can no longer sign in to that account.
- Your yes or no answers are kept, so a match another guest already has does not vanish. It shows "Deleted user" with no contact details.
- Events you attended and dates you were on remain in the records without your name.
What deletion does not remove today: your birthdate, gender, who you wanted to meet and age range stay on the disabled account record, and so does your email address (removing the account entirely would erase other guests' event history). To have your email address replaced with a placeholder as well, write to [email protected] and I will do it.
Your choices
You can see and edit your profile in the Profile tab at any time. You can turn off notifications in your phone's settings. To ask what we hold about you, or to ask for anything to be corrected or removed, write to [email protected].
